Check the positive wire on you cigarette lighter. If it's positive only when the key is in the "ON" or "ACC" position then you could use that wire and a relay along with this diagram to control your amps and not need a switch.

okay you may now point and laugh at me and start throwing the eggs...

under closer inspection, one of the wires wasn't reconnected.

lol, well at least you admitted it. Usually they just slink away and nobody knows what the hell the problem was.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
