I am surfing e-bay for a good deal and was wondering about the differences both hardware and reliabilty wise between the older nd newer model.

Also should I always avoid the "refurbished"units?  Some say factory refurbished.

There are a few V791 units going for 200 bucks on e-bay + shipping new.. Are their any items I need to look out for that might not be included in the base system??

Thanks

Do not purchase the 790 unit, regardless if it is new or not. That unit was buggy from the start, mostly the remote.

as Teken has advised... avoid the first generation unit..... also, never buy a refurb unit..... there is a reason they were replaced by the factory....

Try doing a search on Vipers website for a 790. Its like it never existed.
Someone pass me that bottle.
