Image Dynamics IDMAX are pretty good. IF you can find them, some IDSPL's are slammin'. Nearly impossible to find though. They were a special run that were only distributed to their comp. teams. Every once in a while one will pass through ebay...

I am so Impressed with the SPL and SQ of my RFR3110's, that I went out and bought 2 more. I am experimenting with glass right now so that I can build 2 molded double 10" enclosures. One on/in each side of rear fenderwells.

I also heard a pair of Eclipse Ti's this weekend and they were hittin' very hard and clean.

REXXX's have been recommended by Steve as well, and they have an excellent reputation for insane SPL.

boom, boom, boom boom....

I've gotta say it ice4life8269.  I've heard the audiobreaks.  They're loud... for bout the two minutes they last.  Huge x-max, $hit sq.  But yeah I would go w/ the JL W7.  Loud, clean, but expensive.  Not the first choice for the "loudest" sub though.  Heard some sub one day at this car show.  It was square like the solo's but wan't kicker.  It was like 18" plus inches.  HUGE sub and it was barly playing and I heard it from like 1/2 mile away.  Have no idea what it was but I know that thing could get LOUD.  Anyone have an idea of what it might be?

(nervously looking over shoulder for forbidden)

There are several companies that make square subs other than Kicker. A few that show up on a quick search are Pyle, Lanzar, Pyramid, Blitz, Legacy, Phoenix Digital (No assoc. with PG). As none of these retail for at most $100, I doubt if they were the ones you heard. Well, in the right enclosure you could probably make one pretty loud, but not for long! I'm sure there are others out there, though.

(ducks and runs to avoid the imminent smack)

I can't remember what that freakin thing is!!!!!  It was a nice car w/ other good setups around it so I doubt that it was a crap brand/quality.  *quiet wisper* does anyone know if kicker has made larger solo's?  They had some other like 8" s in the back of the car (civic hatchback).  They were square also but I know they wern't .....kicker.
