One of these days.   I've always wanted to do a servo driven sub. I know the Cyclone worked very well, dug stupid ass deep...   wasn't much of an SPL creature. Now, if you don't care a bout any rude noises.... then you could easily use something from the wonderful folks at ServoDrive Inc., it is an elecromechanical transducer, just like a woofer. Think of these guys like the NASA skunk works... they even used audio to effectively cancel the noise of jet takeoff at an airport.

Can the Servo drive subs produce different/multiple bass notes at a rapid pace? Like a good standard sub? It sounds like it would be slow/less responsive with the belt drive.

And what about the rude noises? What kind of rude noises are you talking about? Belt drive/servo motor noise? Or what?

A.
