Hi Guys

i have installed alot of remote starters in the past but I have been away from it for a couple of years now. A freind wants me to install a astrostart in a 2005 sunfire. Is it Passlock 2 or something new and also is it a One wire door lock system or will I need a special Module.

Yhe automotive dealers are sure making these harder and harder to install.

Thank you

 Murray

Brake = white at brake switch or drivers kick, Parklight Positive is white at switch or drivers kick, Tach is purple white or white at engine harness beside battery and can also be found at a plug at the top of the motor. Red = power pink = ignition, yellow = starter, orange = accessory 1 and brown is accessory 2. Those are all at the steering column harness. Super simple when it comes to a remote start with passlock and it is passlock II

The thing that sucks about these cars is the underdash piece doesn't come off like on most cars. Remove the tilt lever (has threadlock on it, use channel lock pliers to remove, no way to not damage coating, so when I'm done, I wrap lever in electrical tape over the damaged part) and 7mm x 2 to expose ignition switch harness, passlock wires, along with headlight switch harness and horn trigger. Unplug the ignition switch harness black and white and unclip the harness retainer, strip back tape and you have full access to wires. I believe the park light wire is brown positive at switch. There are two brown wires coming down from column, one in each harness, it's in the vertical plug...test with meter to verify. Horn trigger is black at column in horizontal plug at turn signal switch pin farthest passenger side.I use the plxr anti theft bypass off bypasskits.com

I tell it like it is...
