I installed a remote start on an 03 buick century by using the resistor pack and a relay. The car starts fine, and the remote start works everytime. Once in a while after being remote started and shut down, the key will not start the car, no crank, nothing. But the car can be remote started no problem. Any ideas of what's going on here and how to fix it?
thanks
higgs

what kind of remote start is it? did you put a starter kill anti grind relay in, if you did sometime you will lock the car with the remote and enter some other way like with the key or reaching through the window, the unit will be in an anti theft mode and all you have to do is unlock with the remote that came with the remote start and it should work, anyway that an idea.

your relay might be to far away and the resistance of the extra wire has changed your value from the cylinder.
