Just wondering if anyone knows exactly where the tach wire is on a 2000 Camry. The sheet says Black(AC) or Yellow/Red Ignition Driver's Side. I can't find that color. Is it under the hood or inside the car???
Thanks

Black and orange @ the ECM behind the glove box , OR under the hood.  On the four banger,  its on the end of the drivers side valve cover in a whitish grayish plug with 4 wires stickin out of it. Use the black one.

On the 6 cylinder, go to the coil on the DRIVERS side, and use the yellow/red

Alright, I can't seem to find anything yellow/red at the left shock tower or anywhere on the driver's side under the hood for that matter. I'm also having another problem. I'm getting the starter relay to engage when i try to remote start but the car won't start. Is there some kind of security thing that i need to buy a bypass for???

Tach signal has to be learned first!
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.2000 Camry Tach Wire -- posted image.

on just about every car i do i use the "uncommon colored" wire off of one of the coils or fuel injectors... on most toyotas however i usually just drop the glove box and pull it off the ecm

dont know if this will be any help but just some food for thought
