i hope you don't shoot me for the quality of the components i am using.

they are jbl gt120's.

this is the way i figure it.  the gt120's use a pretty large box.  looking at some of the better quality subs they don't seem to use as large of a box. so the way i look at it if i dont like the jbl's it would be pretty easy to upgrade to a better sub, and be able to adjust the volume inside the box.  each side of the box is a seperate 2.39 cu. feet so putting in extra baffling or cutting the box down is much easier than having to try to make th box bigger.

being my first box i didn't want to go crazy spending so much $$$$$  on the subs, until i can critique my own box building skills and hear how it sounds.  i actually am getting ready to drill some holes in the front baffle for the t-nuts so i can mount the speakers.

SH%T, i forgot to get some 1/4 foam to put under the sub to seal it, oh well back out i go.
