Hello,
I am trying to work out a way to use a toggle switch to push a metal plate forward when the switch is flipped up, and then have the plate pulled backwards if the switch is flipped down...
That isnt too hard to do, but I would like the current to the motor that moves the plate to be constant until its closed all the way and also if it gets manually moved somehow, it automaticaly goes back to the position selected by the toggle switch...
Bascily I need help trying to keep a plate constantly open or closed but I dont want the motor to burn out so when the plate reaches an opened or closed state, the current is cut until the switch is flipped again.
Please Help.
Thanks!

try to use a timer setup,  similar to one that would be used to run a power window setup from an alarm.  windshield wiper motors are a good choice due to the motion that is made during a revolution.
