2002 Impala 9C1
installed remote start.
Car turns on, but the engine does not even turn over.
Have not installed 555L.
Wanted to get some kind of acknowledgement that the remote start is installed correctly before installing the 555L.
Question:
Shouldn't the engine at least attempt to start before the 555L is installed?

Passlock has not been disconnected.
I'm aware of the wires and color codes.
Engine starts with the key but not the remote start.
Should't the engine at least turn over before the 555L is installed, using the remote start?

If you DO NOT have the 555L connected, ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK.......

555L is a PassLock

The 555L is a passlock bypass.
I didn't ask if it would CRANK.
I asked, shouldn't the engine at least turn over, as in attempting to crank.
If you don't know, let someone else answer.

Here's what you do...

Install the lower metal brace, There are four - 7mm screws and four - 10mm bolts. Then put on the lower dash cover and install the two 7mm screws and the bottom cover with the push clips(s). The drive the car to the local install shop and have the starter removed and installed properly.
