Ok so ive beenconsidering buying a new alarm for my car since I just painted it and made it look all nice. Ive been thinking about the pager alarm but do not know which one is the best. I amlooking for one with a long range in terms of paging. I like the clifford G5 but do not know its paging range. What does everyone recommend I should get?

If range is "the issue" I would suggest the compustar 2WSS-AS 6000 feet .....jeeze, I cant imagine needing that kind of range?

i personally like the compustar I have one of these in my car and I have installed plenty of them,

speaking about the range I get about 1500 to 2000 feet easy on my 2wss-as, I haven't tried to go any farther yet but I am sure it can

The ease of installation and the ease of programming are all a plus in my book

One mile range? Where do you get your starters from? I'm lucky to get 1000' out of the ones I sell. They are only rated for 2000' according to my viper rep.

To bad you live in the US.  Your range is limited by FCC regs.  Theredically 1/4  mile, manufacture can be lible for units that go over that.  We've had somw Crimestopper CS2015E (for export) that have had 2.5 mile range (really screws up TV pictures when transmitting), but the US versions have crap 1/4 mile range.

Probably because we don't usually need to walk that far to park the car, even in the biggest shopping malls- best pager alarm available -- posted image.
So what kind of batteries do those remotes use, and how many activations are they good for? It'd be good if they could dial up the power only when needed, if not, it seems like it'd be wasting power unnecessarily.
