Take the wire off the hood pin and use a jumper to ground it, since you can't leave the hood up when the cars on a lift.

It's still a REAL good idea to make the technician working on your vehicle aware of the fact, that you have a remote start installed....

You could always put an inline switch on the safety switch like stated previously. I haven't seen DEI do the toggle switch to disarm remote starts. I have however seen other brandds doing it. I would have them write that the vehicle has remote start on the invoice they are using and put turn the toggle off disabling the remote start feature.
