Just installed a remote start on 2003 Trailblazer

Problem:  Security light stays on , any ideas how to get it off?

I originally started with a passlock dip switch model and cut pass lock wire, changed over to a Data bus  gmdl-bp, resoldered the pass lock wires and  now the security light is staying on as I drive.

Using an Astra 1000 RS, so far the  RS is working fine , I just want to get the security lifght off, tried using a scan tool no luck.

any Ideas?   email Ruffdog@AOL.com

I don;t believe it's the   bypass, while waiting for new gmbp-dl to arrive I had the issue after disconnecting the dip switch one, wondering if by soldering wire back together if I changed resistance in the   wire and computers not reading it

Did you cut the wire with ignition key in the on position?

According to dei website under testing the passlock2 if the light is on solid must be reset by dealer. I have never personally had it happen to me so not for sure.

Ok I was able to troubleshoot the problem, I disconnected battery for 10 min and reprogramed the  databus Bypass and it cleared the problem.

Light is now out, Thanks to all those guys that responded, you guys are an asset to this site and I hope I can return the favor someday
