Hey guys,

I have a 1993 Pontiac TransAm with a DEI Viper 791VX in it....using the vehicle wiring databse I found this...

Door Lock	Light Blue	Driver's Kick Panel Reverse Polarity
Door Unlock	Dark Blue	Passenger's Switch is Master Switch

So will I use the 451m or not, it just says the LOCK is reverse polarity. The Passenger switch is the master switch, but it has a small guage of wire. I thought reverse polarity systems were heavy guage? The driver's switch (that has a passenger switch with it) is the same small guage....

You don't use resistors with this 5 wire........

Youwill need

2 SPDT RELAYS:

Cut LOCK & UNLOCK Wire in Half.

One Half goes to SWITCH

One Half goes to ACTUATOR

Relay 1

LOCK:

PIN 87 = 12 Volts ( + ) Constant

PIN 87a = wire from Door Lock Switch

PIN 30 = wire to Actuator

PIN 85 = Negative Lock Output from Alarm

PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Relay 2

UNLOCK:

PIN 87 = 12 Volts ( + ) Constant

PIN 87a = wire from Door UnLock Switch

PIN 30 = wire to Actuator

PIN 85 = Negative UnLock Output from Alarm

PIN 86 = Constant 12 volt ( + )

Last I checked that's what the 451m did, am I wrong? It is suppose to be an interface so you don't have to use relay's...I have a 451m here next to me...
