it depends on the remote starter you are putting in. if you don't have these outputs on your unit, then yes

Hi i installed a remote car starter and it worked great the first time i started it. Then when the engine it's cold it doesn't start. It cranks the engine but not enough to start. I hookd the tech wire to the second injector.  If the engine is how it starts. Does anyone know what to check first? thx

ok it's a 2003 dodge ram.  if there is a better location for the tach wire that would be great.

Try Tan/Red at the coil.

If this doesn't help perhaps your remote starter has an adjustable cranking time?
