Programming a Viper 791xv

any info on programming the Viper 791xv

I just installed it, have signal to remote but whats next to program it.

depends on what features you wish to change... the default settings cover most installs......

Initall programming. or dedfult auto learn.

I wired it up, but remote dosent cotrol anything.

i may have messed it all up trying.

unit seams to work , alarm chirps, doors lock with key on.

if i depress valet i only get 1 ,2 or 3 blinks then siren goes off.

It is a truck, no hood pins

nemote start dosent work either.

to program remotes,
turn the ignition to the ON position
press the program button once and then HOLD
press the Lock button the transmitter
the unit will Chirp (if connected)
then release the program button
of course be sure to test all functions of the remote once this is completed

Remote dosent respond at all. whe i tried that, would i have to have a dealer unlockthe system first, or shouldnt it be locked.

you probably want that hood pin hook up for theft and safety reasons

the system is not locked if new... you probably dont have communication with the antenna.... are you sure it's plugged in correctly?

Thats what it was antenna wasnt connected all the way.
