Hey all,
I have been looking through the forums getting some info over the past couple weeks as we just brought a aussie model, silver 99 wrx sedan in stock condition... So far we have put a full 3" stainless xforce exhaust turbo back and a GFB plump-back BOF... also things like all oils,timing belt etc were done also. Next are some 18"x7.5" wheels, we just can't decide what ones 1999 WRX, Viper 791xv Alarm -- posted image.
We came across a Viper 791xv at a good price and I am going to install it. The only new thing i am attempting is taking the wrx interior apart and the remote start feature... I have a couple questions i am hoping someone can clear up? cheers
-What immobilizer interface module (bypass module) should I use? I can't seem to find much info for these units... The book says 555U but I can't find that anywhere todo with subaru. I can find them at ;

-I have found a wire map for 04' and 05' wrx but nothing older. Does anyone have one? would be ofcourse a great help!
-As for the remote start, Does the ECU in the 99' have a pin-out giving ground in Neutral like I have read about in the newer wrx's?... this would allow me to use the remote start feature completely safely.
the wire map would save alot of time, I have also read a bit about where the best point is to grab the tacho learn, What is everyone choice here?
Someone had found a point right near the coils but I have misplaced the info..
thankyou all

Not many people here are going to have info on Austrailian cars. Might want to do some research over at nasioc.com or any Subaru forums specific to Australia.
