Does anyone know if someone makes a T-Harness for an'03 Avalanche so its easier to install a remote start system?  I haven't been able to find one..

Also, I think I am going to go with a Viper 160XV remote start system on the same '03 Avalanche.  If I go with the DEI 457G, will that basically take care of the Passlock II issue, and also allow the remote start remote to control the doors?  Is there anything else that it does or doesn't do that I am not aware of?

Awesome, that has been a GREAT help.  Thank you!  I still however have my question with the 457G unit.  With that, will it bypass Passlock AND control the doorlocks without running extra wiring, diodes, and relays?

I am installing a remote start system in an '03 Chevrolet Avalanche.  I can't seem to find the wire for the parking lights. I know it is brown and located at the driver's side kick panel.  There are so many bundles of wires there, I can't find it.  Can anyone give me a better description of where to find it, and how heavy the wire is?

I use the negative trigger at the BCM instead of positive trigger for parking lights. It is much easier to get to, and does not draw as much current as using positive to feed the lights themselves.

the negative trigger parking lights is best for those vehicles. Its a grey/black at the brown plug at the BCM right under the steering column. Ya cant miss it. Its the only grey/black wire in that plug. REMEMBER NEGATIVE PULSE, AND NOT POSITIVE PULSE.

I don't believe there is a positive in the kick panel on the Avalance because the taillight wires run on the chassis not under the door sill like it does on the Tahoe. Go negative on the BCM, much easier...

I am using the Viper 160xv.  Right now it is set for a +12 volts output for the lights.  I can switch the jumper so it ouputs a -200ma output.  Would that be enough to run the negative trigger switch for the lights, or would I need an extra relay?
