Im working on a 562T for my neighbor. I wanted to give him the option of utilizing his factory remote if he ever wanted too. However, i remember back in the day when i installed my Avantguard 4 on my 00 Grand Prix & had issues. I wired if for double pulse on the lock side and as soon as it would turn on, my factory system would start honking and going off. As you know, 2 pushes of the lock button on the factory remote arms the factory theft system. As soon as it sees the ignition was keyed while being armed and not disarmed prior too, the obvious happens. How do i get past this? Am I only left with the option of wiring it to the unlock trigger? I see these systems wired to the lock trigger all the time on a double pulse without the R/S setting the factory system off. Can someone tell me how this is done? Thanks

To disarm, send a (-)pulse before [unlock or rs] to the light green in the purple connector on the bcm. that will disarm the security system, but not passlock. Youll still need to bypass passlock to rs the truck...
Good luck!
