I'll address this posting to Sparky.    If you remember back to last fall, I have the 73 Ford Torino with the CCS-100 install.

Summer of 2006, it became intermittent, finally failing in August 2006.

I went thru all your tests, checked all the wiring, magnet sensor is working, rear lights are ok, resistance to purple wire to ground is 5 ohms (5.2 I think).  Vacuum is plentiful.  Voltages are all correct, chassis ground is good. As I had stated, this unit worked well for 2 years and thousands of miles.

Am I looking at a bad servo?  I have read some good and bad reports on these kits - and my local installer doesnt even touch them anymore.

Questions:  Is there any way to bench test this unit off car?

Is there a factory cruise model, i.e. GM, FOrd, Chrysler, Nissan, Toyota etc where the servo would be compatible with the Audiovox unit?  I realize it will not be plug and play and will need a mod on the wiring harness.

Bite the bullet and get a new kit?  If I could get this unit to engage on the bench, then I would know its wiring.  But I really doubt  its wiring.

Thanks

UPDATE:

I picked up a complete new kit from a local distributor.  I replaced the servo only, again after checking all my wiring.

Works perfectly with the new servo.  I guess the old one crapped out.

Wish I had a schematic for it.  Maybe could be repaired.

I am happy to hear you got it going. The units are reliable from my experience, so I believe you did the right thing.
