Does anyone know of a way to shut the radio off after the remote start shuts down in a 03 Tahoe?  The vitals are Sidewinder 6500 w/gmdl4 interface kit.  I would like a way to do this with out tagging a door trigger if at all possible.  Thanks in advance.

I believe it shuts off after 2 minutes...At least thats what a customer told me. I would just let it time out. ...it might even be programmable thru the steering wheel controls.

03 Suburban I just did, the radio shut down in ten minutes.  Customer had no problem with it.  Only stays on AFTER a remote start shutdown (remotely, or the running the required time and shutting down by itself) .  I dont think it can be programmed to shut down sooner, but I may be wrong.  Search posts here, I remember someone saying how to not have the radio turn on on a remote start request.

Lets put this question in different terms. The truck must shut the radio down when the remote start is shut down...how would you do that? I have the same problem and I dont want to have my amps drain the battery after rs is shut down. thanks...i think that was your question right auex?

You need to provide a ground to the door trigger (grey/black) in drivers door after the remote start shuts down. This will simulate the door openeing and shut the radio off the same as if you would have opened the door.
I do this on all trucks <03 but my bypass kits do this fo me automatically on the 03's so I haven't done it on an '03.
