turn signal. what to try next?

The left turn signal on my rodeo is out.  It started by the indicator on the dash blinking fast and the relay clicking fast, then the indicator light went out, but the relay is still clicking fast.  So far I have tried to replace all turn signal bulbs on both sides, and the flasher relay.  I took a test light and Im getting a signal under the dash where the jack is coming from the steering column.  The fuse is also good.  I looked at the wiring by back and front bulb, but dont see a loose wire, or anything touching ground.  I followed it back until it went into a big bundle with all other wires.  Any info would be appreciated.  Also a wiring diagram would help a lot.  Thanks in advance.

Every bulb in the vehicle that has to do with the turn signals is now replaced, but I am still having the same problem.  Do I need to start checking the wiring?  I can hear in clicking.  Would this mean the problem is after the flasher relay?  Any other tips on what to check, or the easiest way of checking the wiring?

soundmasta have you tryed replacing the actual flasher unit?

ryano, have you had any work done to the car recently? like maybe an alarm installed? my thoughts are that maybe when this was being installed a line coming from the flasher unit may have been cut slightly and has since come apart entirely, meaning that the flasher will still be active but somewhere down the line the power isn't getting through, suggesting that yes there is a cut cable, to try and eliminate this as a problem, using a test light or multimeter if there is a signal cmoing out then you have a cut wire somewhere, two options try to locate the cut, or run new wire to the flasher bulbs (maybe much easier then you think) if there is no signal coming out but it is still clicking then you have a faulty flasher unit that needs to be replaced.
