DEI 564T 2 way remote replacement?

Will any of the other 2 way DEI remotes work with the Hornet 564T? Like the 488P Python LED remote?

The 488 will work but obviously you'll loose features.Prepare your future. It wasn't the lack of stones that killed the stone age.

I have programmed a 488P LED remote to my 564T. The LED remote works but only as a one way remote? It indicates that it is out of range(no signal received?) when any of the buttons on it are pressed. So none of the LED's indicate that the signal went thru. The LCD 477T still works fine both ways. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Which antenna does the 564T come with?   The manual just says it is an ASK system. I read that the 548T would work fine with the LCD and LED 2 way remotes. The one I have sure looks like the 548T that I have a picture of.
