chrysler 300c remote start

Looking to install a very basic remote start on my 05 300c. I like to DIY and i'd like to have it done before the snow falls. I've installed amps and subs, LED's, switches, and minor things but nothing as advanced as remote start yet. I only want something that'll start my car from the house...only require less than 100 feet. I think I'll need a bypass module also? Are they specific to the car or are remote starts and bypass modules universal? Anything I should know before I tackle this?

Yes, you will need a bypass module.  The EVO-ALL is a good unit and generally comes pre-flashed with the correct

firmware.  Another good choice is the iDatalick ADS AL-CA flashed with the AL(DL) CH5 firmware.  Here is a link toan install on a similar vehicle, a 2006 Hemi Charger :  https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=132847The components used in that install cost around $110, comes with two remotes and gives close to 1000 feet ofrange.  The disassembly will be different but most of the wires are the same.
