can somebody help. i was wondering what the 4th wire is on the wiring harness for an eq. is this the remote? where do i connect it to? what does it do. i have both 12v's and the ground connected. please help.

It's most likely a remote turn on, so the Eq's only on wher your stereo's on. It should be blue. There shoudl also be a blue wire coming out of your headunit, and they get connected together. Always test the wires before connecting them - the blue wire form the headunit should show 12V+ whenever the head's on, and nothing when it's off.
