Ok i have two 12" boss audio subs rated at 1000 watts rms each and they are 4 ohm DVC.
I want to wire them in a parallel/parallel config. my question is will this amp be good to power them and be safe to not blow them out at 1 ohm load?

All help appreciated =)

Crikey - this is almost identical to 5000 watt subs except that the EV3000D is only 600W RMS into 4 Ohm.
It's max input is 864W if 60A @ 14.4V.
I'll let others answer the speaker config & matching....

another thing im a little confused about it being wired at 2 ohm or 1 ohm because the speaker booklet shows that the subs can be wired in 2,4 or 8 ohms not 1 ohm but from looking around ( on here ) at wiring diagrams it shows two dvc 4 ohm subs being 1 ohm will this amp work? -- posted image.
is the 2 ohm option for perhaps 1 sub hooked to the amp?
i am an idiot

Your wiring options with 2 dual 4 ohm coils are 1ohm, 4ohm or 16ohms.  With a lone 4ohm DVC, your options are 2ohm or 8ohm.

so what i need is an amp that can push at or just below 2000 watts continously @ 1 ohm, correct?

ok after looking around a bit i came up with this:
http://www......com/item_24268_Power-Acoustik-CPT1-3200D.html
or this one:
http://www......com/item_17385_Kole-Audio-TRAX1-4000D-TRAX-1-4000D.html
i would much rather go for the power acoustik just because of price but i was wondering what anyones thought is to either of these amps..
