Hi,

Just wanted to see if anyone could help me out. I just purchased a used 1999 Accord EXV6 and the factory alarm that is suppose to come with it doesn;t seem to be working. The red led on the door isn't blinking to confirm that the alarm has been armed, and trying to set off the alarm following the user's manual didn;t set it off as well. The only thing I know is that the panic button on the keyless entry remote still works.

Also, I'm not sure if its related or not, but horn is supposed to confirm that the doors are locked when you press the keyless entry button twice. This does not happen. The only confirmation I get is when I press the unlock, and the lights blink twice.

I'm not sure, but would it have anything to do with the remote starter that was installed in it. Anyways, any tips on how to resolve this problem would be great.

Thanks,

Glen

Hello,

Well, I've decided to go get an aftermarket alarm. A lot of friends have told me to just forget about the OEM alarm and go for something that will actually do the job. Thanks for the help though.

Thanks again,

Glen
