Hi all this is my first post so if I didn't post in the right place or did something wrong I'm sorry.
I just finished installing a viper 5704 in a 2003 escalade and got a lot of the info I needed from this forum but could never figure out what the h3/8 pink/black (87a) FLEX RELAY INPUT (key side of ign, acc or starter wire if needed)was for. all the info I could get was it wasn't needed. Could someone explain what it is actually used for. I would like to know for future install. Thanks

Some vehicles will feed back through a second ignition wire because ignitions 1 and 2 are connected at the switch. When the alarm is on, this will cause the alarm to go off when you activate the R/S.
Garbage Peugeot and Citroen in Europe and I believe some Toyotas so you wire the second ignition after cutting as key side to pink/black and ignition side to pink/white similarly to the violet and green at H3/4 and H3/5.
