Hi, just installed new Avital 3300L in my 86 Chevy C10 pickup and everything works great. Want to change a few setting using a SAA998T programmer I just bought (version 1.5). Plugged everything in but no communication with alarm system. Any special procedure to get this working? If I try to read from the system, communication fails.

I also just ordered the upgrade kit for the SAA998T to make it version 2.9 but the Avital manual tells me that I need at least version 1.4 (which I have). Any hints or recommendations appreciated.

make sure the system is disarmed/unlocked.

Just went through the install guide again and it doesn't mention or show any Bitwriter capability. Went on the Avital WEB-site and it clearly states that it is supported (3300L). Looking at the connector diagram, there is not even a connector for serial interface. Is Avital advertising something they can't really do? Anyone any experience in installing 3300L systems? Ran into the same issue?

Contacted Avital Tech Support via email to see what they have to say.
