Hi, I'm looking for some help on my 2011 Lincoln MKZ remote start install. This is my first aftermarket remote start install. I installed a dei 4003 with 556u bypass. I wired it all up and programed it to 3 pulses with the factory keyless entry. I tried to remote start it and learn the virtual tach but it won't even crank.   Anyone have any experience with these?

I see a few errors.

Heavy gauge connector

1 red 12v - blue/red power at ignition
2 pink/ white accessory circuit- violet green on switch   **
3 red 12v- blue/red power at ignition
4 orange output to accessory circuit-n/a **
5 purple output to starter circuit- blue/ white on ignition switch
6 pink output to primary ignition circuit-white orange at ignition switch

**  If you do it this way, you must program the 4003 to Flex Relay = ACC2.  Much easier to leave the Pink/White not

connected and run the Orange wire to the cars Violet/Green ACC1 wire.

Remote starter harness

1 neutral safety switch-ground
2 violet/white tach n/a
3 brown brake shutdown-vt/wh at brake switch
4 gray hood pin switch-ground      ***
5 blue/white 2nd status- n/a

***  Not to ground.  Connect to Kit supplied hood pin switch.  You can leave it not connected during testing.

Main harness 9 pin

1. Light green black factory alarm disarm -n/a
2 GREEN / WHITE factory alarm arm-n/a
3 yellow ignition out to host- n/a
4 white blue activation input- gy-ye lock wire    ****
5 orange anti grid output -n/a
6 brown horn-n/a
7 RED / white-trunk release- n/a
8 black-chassis ground
9 white light flash output-n/a

****  You can not used the (-) Door Lock wire for this purpose.  You will need to get a relay and use the (+) Driver Door Lock

Motor wire.  First as a test, disconnect this wire from the car and briefly touch it to chassis ground briefly 3 times in 5 seconds.
The car should start if everything else is OK.

Soldering is fun!

Here is the info on the Driver Lock Motor wire :

Lock Motor  Gray/Brown  5 wire     @ driver kick or SJB, black 32 pin plug (D), pin 6

You will need a 30/40 Amp SPDT relay.  Here is the wiring :

Relay Pins 85 and 87 to Chassis Ground
Relay Pin 86 to Lock Motor wire  Gray/Brown   @ driver kick or SJB, black 32 pin plug (D), pin 6
Relay Pin 30 to 4003 Pin 4 WHITE/ blue (-) activation input

Don't think these wire are necessary with an add-on 4003 :
Door lock harness
1 blue.unlock-vt gy
2 not used
3 green lock- gy-bn

You could set the 4003 Parking Light jumper to (+) and connect the White Parking Light Output wire to this wire :

Parking Lights (+)     PURPLE / white (+)     @ driver kick or SJB, gray 13 pin plug (E), pin 6

Soldering is fun!
