I had an Impulse 1010 Installed on my 89 Buick Century Limited today. I had all the power locks, trunk pop and starter kill features installed as well as the basic alarm features. When I got home, it was working fine, I removed the bottom cover above my brake and accelarator pedals to locate my 2 buttons(Override and valet) and since then, the alarm hasn't work correctly. I didn't have to move anything because the 2 buttons were lying on top of the cover.

The problem is, the alarm will arms, chips and locked the doors on both regular and silent(no chirp) mode no problem, but when press the disarm button, it sounds the alarm for about 2 seconds, then chips once, and doesn't unlock my doors like it did before. I tried resetting the alarm to the system default settings many times and turning on and off the valet mode many times and still the same problem. I'm talking the car back to the installer in the morning, but I didn't but the alarm from them, just had them install it. Does anyone know what the problem could be, could it be something loose/unpluged, or something wrong with the alarm. I checked all the connections and they looked good, but I don't know much about installing alarms.
