have someone that wants me to install an aftermarket stereo in a 98 taurus that has the factory sound package installed. the wiring color codes on this site don't match the wires that go to the stereo in the dash. is there any way i can get those?

But you obviously missed the part about the loom kit and where it plugs into the rear amp.

That's why it pays to read the Metra install file.

Go back to the junkyard and get the rest of the stuff in the picture on the following link. Both of the harnesses will be right behind the radio. One of them will travel from there to the drivers side of the trunk.

Craig, it appears we're running around in circles, I already mentioned that part number and the Adobe install guide in the Metra page for that vehicle but our friend doesn't appear to want to listen to pros.

You guys arent understanding. I have the dash kit and have rrad the manual and neither of those help. It just says to basically bypass the factory amp which isnt what I want to do.

You must by-pass the factory amp unless you buy a radio from a Ford Dealer.
