I am looking for information on the VSS wire for the new Ford 500. The car is not equipped with the wire in the radio harness (normally pin 14 in the 24 pin radio plug) I really do not want to install a pulse generator, so does anyone have some info for this car?

Each wheel has it's own wheel speed sensor. Behind the passenger headlight find the end of the harness that goes into the wheel well. It is the yellow/black wire that goes to the wheel speed sensor. I think it is 8000 pulses per mile but not positive. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info. I already tried the same approach, but with the wheel sensor wires coming from the driver's front wheel. I went right into the wheel well and tried both wires coming from the wheel sensor with no result. I was installing a KENWOOD nav and just ended up using a pulse generator. I did some research and found out that the CAN Bus system in this vehicle carries the speed pulse throughout the car.
