Did you buy your "viper" on line from some discount joint, or did you buy it from an authorized DEI dealer? I just wonder? This is a wild problem in our industry.People buy and sell these things like chewing gum. Selling to kids that havent the foggiest idea even where to start. Then there are nothing but problems....and everyone balmes the product, NOT the installer............. Good luck.

You will need a transponder bypass to do this job, and there are several to choose from. Contact your "salesperson" for more info! I might suggest an  ADS-DLSL-1 will do the locks, transponder gives you tach and controls the factory alarm.

PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT YES TRANSPONDER   SEE NOTES
 12 VOLTS Red & Pink/black Ignition harness   +
 IGNITION Blue Ignition harness   +
ACCESSORY BLACK/ orange Ignition harness   +
ACCESSORY 2 RED / black Ignition harness   +
This wire powers the electronic climate controls and A/C compressor as well as the radio and wipers. If you want to eliminate the wipers during remote start, you can use a relay to open the DK.GREEN/ RED from the wiper control arm at the steering column.
STARTER Yellow or Yellow/blue Ignition harness   +
KEY SENSE Lt.blue Ignition switch harness   -
TACH SIGNAL Tan/w. stripe On top of motor   AC
On the 4.0L use the TAN/RED (2cyl. Signal) in the 32-pin connector at the PCM on the passenger side firewall under the hood. On the 4.7L there are separate coils for each cylinder which are difficult to access. Go to any of the fuel injectors on the top of the motor and use the TAN/W. STRIPE for a 1 cylinder signal.
 LOCK See DOORLOCK diagram
 UNLOCK See DOORLOCK diagram
DOORPIN Yellow At courtesy light under dash   -
 TRUNK PIN Common with doorpin
DRIVER DOOR LATCH Tan/red In driver's door at module   -
 FACTORY ARM See notes
If re-arming the factory alarm is absolutely necessary, you must solder wires into the driver's door module located in the driver's door. Doing this will also allow doorlock control. See the ALARM graphic.
FACTORY DISARM Lt.GREEN/ orange In driver's door   -
Doorlocks and security are multiplexed. You must go directly into the driver's door and locate the LT.GREEN/ ORANGE at the door control module. Use a ground pulse through a 470-Ohm resistor to disarm security. PLEASE NOTE: Security disarms automatically on start, therefore connecting to the disarm wire is only necessary if you are integrating doorlocks.
BRAKESWITCH WHITE/ tan At switch above brake pedal   +
 PARKLIGHTS See notes
Connect directly to pin 85 of the parklight relay on the fuseblock (negative trigger) to activate parklights. See our TIP diagram for details.
HAND BRAKE Gray/black At plug on handbrake lever   -
HORN Gray/orange At steering column   -
