The 528T provides a ground from term 87 to the wait to start input on your unit.  you need to trigger the BLACK/ white wire on the 528t with the status output, or ground when running wire. after it times out the ground goes away and the remote start powers the start wire.

That's the only way I can see how the wait to start can operate. However the instructions included with the 528 show the Brown 87 as "normally open" wire connected to the wait to start. Wouldn't this be the opposite effect, when triggered by the black'white the relay would close creating the ground.

look at a relay. 30 and 87a are normaly closed. 30 and 87 are normaly open. 30 and 87 close when the relay is energized. put a ground on 30......and voila, when energized 87 will see a ground. and in the case of the 528T 87 will see ground until it times out, thus the remote start unit waits to send voltage on the start wire until that ground on the wait to start wire is gone.

Okay, got it. I wasn't taking into account that the relay was ENERGIZED creating the ground . Makes total obvious sense now, I feel kind of stupid. Thanks ckeeler.
