2003 tiburon gt, need an amp

I would look for a 2 channel amp with an output of 150 watts RMS at 4 ohms per channel and hook each sub up to its own channel or a 4 channel amp you can bridge to two channels with 150 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. you could also use a mono single channel amp with 300 watts RMS of power at 2 ohms. this way you would wire your subs in parallel and present the amp with a two ohm load. Keep in mind that a 2 ohm load with make the amp run hotter and you also need to make sure you find a 2 ohm capable amp this way. forgot to mention also if you go the bridged route to read the manual and make sure you use the appropriate channels for bridged mode since its usually different. Most amps have indicated above the channels which terminal to connect it to in bridged mode. Your subs are single 4 ohm. they handle 150rms per sub. So with a pair you can run 300rms to them. wire the subs in series to the amp that will give you a 2ohm load. the Kicker ZX300.1 is a perfect match for them as it does the full 300rms at 2ohm. the lowest ohm load you can run is 2ohmwith those subs so you will want a mono amp that will push 300rms at 2ohm or less. a 2 or 4 channel amp could work but bang for the buck go mono, plus you will for sure get sub crossover network as mono amps are built for subs.

Its what I run on my two G5 4 ohm subs on my monoblock amp. you are dead right about that. parallel will yield a 2ohm load not series. + to + and - to - on each sub then to the amp is how it should be wired. good catch..... im tired way past my bed time
