2002 2005 camry factory siren chirp

I just finished a Viper 5301 Remote starter install on a 2004 Camry and just wanted to start on post on the factory siren / buzzer / beep / chirp (whatever you may call it). After the install, I was not pleased with the lock/unlock horn honk, so i was determined to use the factory siren to obtain the original toyota beep/chirp. After deep exploration, I eventually found the factory siren, which is located just above the washerfluid tank on my 2004 Camry. It is hidden next to the fill neck on the washer fluid tank, between the top of the fluid tank and steel frame. I had to remove the passenger side headlight to access it. I wouldn't recommend removing it, mine broke off trying to do so. Mine was connected with a blue wire/ w/ silver dots (+ feed) and a white w/ black (-). After the factory siren was removed, I unfortunately discovered that the Viper 5301 would not generate a tone from this siren. I then simply connected the siren to 12V and it makes a faint pop (like a speaker would), but no tone. It appears to me that the factory Toyota alarm outputs a tone signal to this siren to generate a chirp. I wired the siren back to it original spot and it still does make the original chirp when using the factory remote. Maybe someone out there knows of a simple circuit to build that will generate a tone similar to the Toyota's????? After reading several other posts, I decided to try a Radio Shack piezo electric buzzer. Basically, I just went to Radio Shack and opened their drawer of buzzers and chimes, and bought several of them. I wired them directly up to the Viper's horn honk output and chose the best one and return the other buzzers. The buzzer I chose was $3.55 and puts out 76 dB (wish it was slightly louder though, but its sounds pretty similar). I then wired it thru the firewall and mounted under the hood. I hope this info helps someone else out. I killed a lot of time finding the factory siren and tracing the wire. Just for reference, I have included a pic of the factory siren/chirp wire (located under the steering column). It requires a (+) tone generated feed (so basically don't bother using it). -Doug

The answer is that the factory siren is a speaker rather than a siren and wouldn't have been compatible anyway.
