Hi,

Anybodu can help me?   I am installing an Avantguard G5 (with intellistart) on a 1996 328 bmw.   I have got the 555B.   Everything works fine, except for remote starting.   555B has a blue wire that has to be connected to the (-) blue status output wire of the DEI remote start system or to an output that provides a latched (-) ground while the remote start is active.   I cannot find such a wire neither on the alarm module and neither on the intellistart.   And the 555B requires that wire to be hooked up.    Can I just ground that wire all the time?

Any help?

Thanks for the reply,

I looked and found a blue with black wire.   This is intended for diesel type cars.    I cannot think of any way that this wire will produce an (-) status output during RS.  Could you please verify this for me?

thanks

I think I found it.  I am looking at a BLUE/ORANGE wire at the intellistart.   This is intended to trigger a 3rd ignition through a relay, since it is negative during RS.   I will see if it works, but I am pretty sure that this is the wire.

Greetings
