I have a US Acoustics 800D subwoofer amp driving two MTX 10" subs at 4 Ohm.  The input level settings on the amp range from 100mv to 6v.  My Clarion head unit is supposed to put out a 4V signal.   I am having a bit of trouble getting the amp input set correctly.  No matter where I set the gain on the amp I cannot hear any difference in output.  This particular amp has a remote bass level controller and the head unit also has a subwoofer colume control, if this matters.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the gain pot on the amp is broke.  Swap it for a new one.
