Yes they should have went through the settings with me but they didn't. I really didn't think about because in the past I have always had the ability to change the settings to what I wanted. The last 2 alrms I had were Viper alarms and I received the installer guide with the alarm so I had the ability to change my settings. Unfortunatey this time the installer left all of the default settings. I went back to have them change the parking light setting for the remote start feature but I didn't think about the run time for remote start. Thanks for all of the input guys.

thats simply a miscommunication ... i ALWAYS run thru the programming guide with customers and make sure i know in advance what features they want on or off.... i can certainly see how going back more than once will be a hassle for you, but from their point of view i can see it too.... tell you what i'd do... go back and ask to LOOK AT the guide to see what options are available...select everything you would like changed... and then have them run thru it quickly with a bitwriter...it'll only take 3 minutes if that to reprogram the system that way.....

This MAY help. It's the link to the installer’s manual for the Viper 791xv. I'm told it is the same as the Clifford 3.5.

It has the information you are looking for but as stated above the Clifford may be locked by the dealers Bit writer and only able to be unlocked with a Bit writer.

Try this. Print it out in case Viper moves it beyond the reach of non-dealers. It was working as of 6-25-04.

It takes some time to load on my broadband connection so be patient, it will load.
