Yeah, the kickers definatly better, no contest. xtreamcc mentioned that older audiobahn stuff is better. I know a guy who has a old 15" audiobahn in his escort, he hits mid 140's with that thing, it gets insane loud. But as for the new stuff, its crap.

i have two aw1000q's and i'm powering them with a 1600 watt audiobahn amp. the amp has 2 cooling fans. though chrome doesn't dispell the heat that well, the internal fans over compensate. i have 4 fans exchanging air in the trunk with air in the car. 2 fans blowing in and 2 out. i completely agree that the new stuff sucks ass. they lost me on the flame stuff. but i hit mid 140's and they've never skipped a beat. I went into some extensive trunk work boxing & dimensions. i even fiberglassed the inside of the box to make it stronger because i blew the side off of my original generic box years ago. maybe your power got hot because you ran too little gauge to your power and ground. but back in the old school audiobahn when kicker dropped competition, audiobahn made their linear compression series. You'ld have to hear it to believe it. I'v see shattered windows from those audiobahns, but recently, kicker would kick audiobahn to the curb. that's my 2 cents.

Point of fact...... Most broken windows come from windows being improperly mounted and vibrating against a piece of exposed metal, such as side windows on hinges, or its due to windows that have been improperly sealed and the window in question will vibrate against the metal frame its mounted in and thats what causes i to break. To actually break a window due to sheer spl pressure you must hit over approx. 155 db+. That is to say if the glass is all safty glass. If its like the original windows in a 1981 cutlass or something like that then they are brittle from years of exposure and are far more easy to break.
