i'm redoing a system of one of my friends and i was wondering where the best place was in the firewall to run a 4ga wire..i doubt there is a hole big enough already to run it i was just curious to know where a good place would be. ohh ya the car is a 2003 4runner

look for an existing rubber boot or filler plug... you'll probably find one above and behind the gas pedal area... if not drill a hole and use a snap in grommet before you run your wire through it....

kgerry is right

There should be a rubber boot or rubber filler plug,  if its not located near the foot pedal there should be one in the center, you should be able to remove it with a screw driver,
is the battery located on the passenger or the driver side?
once the rubber is romoved there should be a hole, if its not big enough drill right into until its bigg enough and insert a grommet.  Don't want your power wire to catch on fire!
