Correct way to splice wiring?

Im interested to hear what differnt products and or techniques the pros' use to splice into existing circuits...
Its all Mind over matter... I dont mind so it dont matter

Solder and heat shrink has my vote too-
and on the other end of the spectrum, strip,wrap,and tape. Guaranteed failure over the long haul.
Posi-lock connectors, not to be confused with Scotch-lok, are good, but expensive- don't think they're used much. They're nice because they can be easily removed for troubleshooting.
