Help! I have a Grand prix SE 1999. I  installed an alarm with remote start. I need to know where i can find white or violet/white tach wire. I called to support of my alarm and i got two different places. Also, please advise which wire should i use.

Thaks a lot!!

Use either one. One will give you a stronger and cleaner signal than the other, but you can use either one. Just try it and learn the RS unit to the target wire, then test the starter. If the starter drags or the start duration is too short, use the other wire.

TACHOMETER-------------white-----------------pin 8, conn. 2 @ PCM ( The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) is in the air cleaner assembly.)

The PURPLE / WHITE wire is also located in the plug as well.
