Below is a wiring diagram for your car. There is only 2 IGN wires and 1 ACC wire. Wire a relay like I had from above ONLY IF the second ignition output of the alarm is a (-) trigger for a relay. If you have (+) IGN 2 wire, then wire it straight up to the 2nd ignition wire on the Pontiac. The ACC wire should be connected to the HVAC turn on wire from the RS unit. The Passlock I units looks like it's wired correctly.

Notes:

NOTE:  This vehicle has the passlock immobilizer system. Use DEI part number 555t or 555L when adding a remote starter system.  *1 The V6 tach is PURPLE / white at the coil pack on the top rear of the motor.  The 4 cylinder tach wire is white in a 16 pin plug on the top right side of the motor.  *2  You must diode isolate these wires.

No where in my R/S instuctions does it say to use diodes on the tach wire ......it says it needs a A/C current wire.....but the Starter did come w/ 2 diodes for power locks (part number on them IN4001) can i use those if i need to use diodes.......and second can you give me in detail how i would hook these up.....B/C like i said the booklet says nothing about diodes it just tells ya you can use a wire from coil, crank or cam sensor thats it ........Do you think this could be why it shuts down after it stops cranking......thanx for the help

Where does it say that you need diodes inline withthe tach signal ?? The above notes tell you that *2 You must diode isolate these wires. These are for the door trigger wires. What model number is the design tech module ??

make sure you have the correct bulb test wire... it should test ground only when crancking the engine. There are a couple of 20 gauge black wire on that harness. so make sure you grabbed the right one.           oh also, I didn't notice any trigger wires on for module on the list you provided. There should be a wire to activate the module from the alarm. I'm not too familiar with this module.

The bulb test wire was the black wire on the Ign. Harness......yes it is hook to a (-) output......my booklet says it can be used as another Ign. out or as an Acc. output.......i was talking to someone at the local alarm shop today an they said my problem isi tapped into the tach wire out at the Ign. module instead of at the computer........I went by the diagrams posted on ths site and it says to use the white wire at the module.........also i used the tach find mode on my R/s an it says its a good tach wire.....

im sorry i thought you said i had to diode ISolate the tach wire which didnt make sense b/c the R/S needs an A/C signal........Well the bypass module numbers are already gone out to the garbage andthe module is mounted and the car isnt here right now soo the bookelt to the module is for the 20402, 27402, and the 29402.......they must all be pretty much the same as for wiring b/c it dosent say to wire any differnt for each one.....i didnt use diodes anywhere in this install.......

I had the same crazy problem with a job I did over the weekend. I figured out that the thin blk wire in the power harness was the correct wire.. not the one in the ignition harness.(there were 2 harness in the vehicle I did) I used the 555L module by DEI.. so I don't know if it will matter with the module you are using.
