i have been working w/ fiberglass, plexi, molds, ect. and doing large custom jobs for about 5 yrs.   everything is smooth and able to achieve whatever i dream up..  only thing that always gives me a tough time is the outside of the trunk/hatch.     if you want the enclosure or rack to flow up to the outside of the opening..

only thing that has worked in the past is to stretch to the opening, wax the weatherstripping,  and reapply the weatherstripping while the progect is being resin'd and drying..   still doesn't turn out perfect, and then if i trim the mold to make the weatherstirpping fit better again, it wants to sag or gap..  make sense??

any suggestions

i use this method but apply door trim to the egdes of the glasswork to fill minor gaps. It will be the same color of watherstripping or paint it to match the glasswork.
