Hey guys, I have been installing remote starters for years now and I have finally decided to put one in my own car after accepting the fact that the Winters in Albany, Ny are a little too much at times.

 Wire/Function Colour Location/Description Polarity
 PASSIVE ANTI-THEFT YES TRANSPONDER   SEE NOTES 
 12 VOLTS Red Ignition harness   + 
 IGNITION Black Ignition harness   + 
 ACCESSORY BLACK/ red Ignition harness   + 
 STARTER RED / black or RED / blue Ignition harness   + 
 KEY SENSE BROWN / red Ignition harness   + 
 TACH SIGNAL Lt.blue / YELLOW Driver's side of engine under cover   AC 
 On the 2.8L engine the tach is VIOLET / YELLOW (2 cylinder signal) at the coil pack on the engine.
 FUEL INJECTOR Opposite from RED / violet At any injector on engine   AC 
 LOCK Yellow/blue At module in driver's door   - 
 If the vehicle does not have power windows, the lock wires can be found directly at the alarm module without going into the doors. The alarm module is located on the left side of the steering column and the colors will be YELLOW/BLUE for lock/arm and YELLOW /GREEN for unlock/disarm. On either model, if you extend the ground pulse to either the lock or unlock wire, you can roll all the windows up or down.
 UNLOCK Dk.GREEN/ red At module in driver's door   - 
 If the vehicle does not have power windows, the lock wires can be found directly at the alarm module without going into the doors. The alarm module is located on the left side of the steering column and the colors will be YELLOW/BLUE for lock/arm and YELLOW /GREEN for unlock/disarm. On either model, if you extend the ground pulse to either the lock or unlock wire, you can roll all the windows up or down.
 DOORPIN Blue/gray At alarm module on left of column   - 
 This is the domelight output wire. If you need the separate door triggers, they are BROWN / YELLOW (driver's door), BROWN / VIOLET (passenger door). Both are found at the alarm module on the left side of the column.. However, if the vehicle is equipped with power windows, the wiring changes and you will have to go into each door to get the triggers.
 HOODPIN BROWN / red At alarm module on left of column   - 
 TRUNK PIN BROWN / black At alarm module on left of column   - 
 TRUNK RELEASE GREEN/ brown At alarm module on left of column   + 
 FACTORY ARM Arms with lock wire      
 If the vehicle does not have power windows, the lock wires can be found directly at the alarm module without going into the doors. The alarm module is located on the left side of the steering column and the colors will be YELLOW/BLUE for lock/arm and YELLOW /GREEN for unlock/disarm. On either model, if you extend the ground pulse to either the lock or unlock wire, you can roll all the windows up or down.
 FACTORY DISARM Disarms with unlock wire      
 If the vehicle does not have power windows, the lock wires can be found directly at the alarm module without going into the doors. The alarm module is located on the left side of the steering column and the colors will be YELLOW/BLUE for lock/arm and YELLOW /GREEN for unlock/disarm. On either model, if you extend the ground pulse to either the lock or unlock wire, you can roll all the windows up or down.
 BRAKESWITCH RED / black At switch above brake pedal   + 
 PARKLIGHTS Gray/Violet & Gray/brown At light switch harness   + 
 Left and right parking light circuits are independent and must be isolated with diodes or relays. See the TIP diagram.
 HAND BRAKE BROWN / yellow Behind relay #173 on fusebox   - 
 HORN BLACK / YELLOW Behind horn relay on fusepanel   - 
 CLUTCH SWITCH BLACK/ red Behind starter relay on fusepanel   TYPE 1

Thanks. Does anyone know anything about the XK01? If I use that can I avoid using the 556U?

IS it automatically programmed or do I have to connect it to something in order to program it. I am trying to find info on the interface but nothing I read gives me the answers I need.
