does it makes sense if i connect two antennas together  or cut  it off then reconnect to the other one (longer range) to increase the distance . (they are different brands) . is that possible ? or just a silly thing to do !

Plausible. You may encounter different frequecy between the make. Why not just get one that was meant for longer range to begin with? They are quite affordable nowadays. Time=$, double antenna - Last Post -- posted image.
