Hey ppl, I have a question that I'm sure is pretty easy to answer, but I'm not really sure how to solve it.
I just got a couple of 15" subs for x-mas(yaa!!) that I have been asking for, and I have the box all cut and it will be finished soon, but, how should I place the box in my truck so that it will be secure and won't slide around? I am putting it in the extended cab of my 1997 gmc sonoma. Any tips would be great, thanks!

L-brackets work nicely.

If you can, bolt the box down from the inside, then mount the subs.

a "couple" 15s in a ex cab sonoma... i dont know how much room will be around them for them to slide around anyways, and ps... its not a sports car, you wont be taking turns at any amazing speeds lol. I had a s10 and never bothered mounting down my subs in it, never really had a problem

Thanks for the input. Yeah, with 2 15" subs there really won't be much room for the box to move. I can't wait to get this setup playing. How did you like your subs in your s10? does it sound better than something in the trunk? I used to have 2 15"s in a trunk once w/the same amp i've got now, and it was so loud I got a ticket! haha
But I also had a system a long time ago in my jeep Cherokee and it sounded pretty awesome I thought, because I was in the same enclosed area as the subs. And they were only the Radio Shack, Optimus subs! oh man, those were the days....

In the event of collision, everything that is not secured will move.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Agreed, being hit in the head with a 15" sub probably wouldn't feel all that great. Spend the extra 15 minutes and do it right. Like melton said L brackets work.
