I would suggest you want to connect both the primary and 2nd unlock to the blue/black unlock wire...then you'll have priority unlock and a simple hookup.
Some of the confusion has to do with the way DEI's lock/unlock works - the primary unlock only works with the first button push, 2nd with the 2nd button push, and then after that nothing until you lock again with the remote.

Well I want to thank everyone here that helped me out on this problem now solved. viper/hornet unlock wiring - Page 2 -- posted image. I hooked up both the primary and 2nd unlock wires together to the blue/black unlock wire and it was a miracle. One click disarm unlock driver door, two clicks disarm unlocked all other doors.

I think I'll also try just hooking up primary unlock to blue/black and setting alarm to double pulse and see if that really does unlock all doors with one button press. Then decide which way I like best.
